This 9-day north India tour covers India's classic Golden Triangle route of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, with several other stops, activities and experiences added in as well to give you a more varied, interesting and comprehensive taste of the region.
This India holiday starts in Delhi, taking in both new and old sides to the city. Our next step is the 'Pink City' of Jaipur, capital of the arid state of Rajasthan. From Jaipur, we head into the heart of Rajasthan and the remote village of Tordi, where we get a real feel for rural Indian life. The huge Step Well at Abanheri is a stop en-route to Bharatpur, where we see the amazing birdlife and other wildlife in Keoladeo National Park. We'll then tour the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri before heading to Agra, where a local villager escorts us on a Mughal Heritage Walk through villages and farmland near the Yamuna River. A sunrise tour of the Taj then follows, and a visit to Agra's huge Red Fort, before we head back to Delhi.
