About Program

Spend 9 days exploring much of beautiful Costa Rica! Arrive in San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, where your first night will be spent going over the trip itinerary with a BikeHike representative. The next morning, travel north by bike to the Arenal Volcano, where you will then hike and zip-line across the forest canopy before traveling around to the most active part of the volcano. Then comes a few days of white water rafting on the Pacuare River, ending at the volunteer portion of the trip in Quelonios del Caribe.

Quelonios del Caribe is where you will help preserve the Leatherback Sea Turtles from going extinct. At night, when the turtles come up to the beach to lay their eggs, poachers standby to dig them out of the sand. Stop the cycle by patrolling the beaches with researchers and moving the eggs to a safer location, hidden from the poachers.

BikeHike Adventures' website has all the details, so check it out today!
