Volunteer BaseCamp began work in Ghana in 2005 and has since expanded considerably, offering volunteers a variety of placements in both urban and rural communities. Recently, emphasis has been placed on social and educational projects but there is also a pressing need for medical and nursing volunteers, particularly those with training in these fields.
There lacks a significant language barrier in Ghana, so volunteers can easily become acquainted with local communities and people, and have no trouble finding suitable placements.
Our thorough and unique vetting process assures that our volunteers are placed with a project that not only benefits from their specific skill set, but is also something they can be passionate about.
