Work with indigenous people in preserving their culture (Guatemala)

The basic goal of this non-profit organization is to preserve the culture of the Pokomchí Maya by promoting the value of the Pokomchílanguage and literature. In addition the project also offers social and educational services in order to contribute to the social development and academic promotion of the Pokomchícommunity.The focus of the project lies on developing the culture of the Pokomchípeople, so that it is retained and valued by future generations. Currently they are working on creating tours and offering handicraft workshops demonstrating typical handicraft techniques. Moreover, they also offer traditional cooking, conduct literacy courses in Pokomchífor the local community and work with the youth of the communities.
Your tasks:
Help out in the museum: organization, translation, promotion or create flyers
Work with adolescentsor teach English in educational institutions which are located outside the town
Work as a physical education teacher
