About Program

Romania has a lot to offer. Stalactite caves, dreamy farming villages, green hilly country.
"Transylvania" is known mainly from books and movies about vampires. It is an insider tip for people who want to discover something special. Untouched nature in the middle of Europe, wild animals like bears and wolves, and historical castles, fortresses and churches in the middle of medieval towns.

Romania is a real insider tip and not yet overrun with tourists. The inhabitants are friendly and known for their hospitality and fun-loving nature. They like to show you their country or invite you for dinner.

In our RGV projects you can help these warm-hearted people. Get involved in the everyday life of an NGO, various school projects, or take care of people with disabilities. In summer there is a camp for children with various activities, competitions and games. You can also work in a community garden and learn about agriculture or give love and care to homeless dogs.

Popular Programs

NGO Support

In this project in Romania, you will support a non-profit organization in promoting regional and international volunteering and making volunteering more popular. You will be able to take on a wide range of different tasks, such as maintaining the social media channels or event management, which will also be very useful for your future career.

Volunteering in the School Project in Romania

Support the local teachers and teach English to children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 16. You will help prepare and design lessons and contribute to providing better opportunities for the underprivileged youth in Romania.

School Support in Romania

In this social volunteering you will be working in an after school club in Transylvania. You will support and take care of kids coming from school in the afternoons and help them with their studies, homework, play games with them and support them in their development. These children come from difficult backgrounds and you can accompany them on their way to becoming full members of society and give them a helping hand.

At this eco-friendly agriculture project in Romania, your support is needed to help local people create a beautiful community garden, maintain it, grow it and make it thrive, as many people here don't have the opportunity to grow a garden. Join us and be their green hero! Besides that, you can also help with local projects with an agricultural background.

Volunteering for People with Special Needs

Since there is only the project presented here in the target region, which takes care of people with disabilities and it suffers from a lack of staff, your volunteer work here is particularly valuable and useful. You will help people who do not have it easy to prepare the way to an independent life. In this way, you will further expand your social and empathic skills, which will also be very useful in your everyday life.

Dog Shelter

In this project you will take care of homeless dogs, train them and help them to find a new home. You don't need any special skills, only your commitment is important. You are there for them, take care of them and walk them. The goal is to find loving homes for the dogs. So they need positive social experiences to be adopted.

Summer Camp

Give children from 7 to 15 years an unforgettable and colorful summer full of adventures and support a summer camp in Romania. Your help and that of other international volunteers is most welcome! The children and teenagers are encouraged to discover and develop their passion for sports, music and theater. Equally important is to motivate the children to learn English.
