My experience with the homestay program at Beijing Language and Culture University was absolutely life-changing! The combination of university classes and living with a local family helped me improve my Mandarin faster than I ever thought possible. My host family was incredibly warm and patient, including me in their daily activities and even teaching me how to cook traditional dishes. The university classes were challenging but engaging, with teachers who genuinely cared about our progress. Between morning lessons, cultural activities, and practicing with my host family, every day felt like a new adventure. This program perfectly balances academic learning with authentic cultural immersion - I couldn't have asked for a better way to learn Chinese!
