If a group of 3 or more individuals joins the conservation program, each individual will receive a 6000 South African Rand discount. All participants pay a monthly fee to cover tuition, food, travel and accommodation.

About Program

Unrestricted access to a natural reserve spanning 11 000 hectares (26 000 acres). African wildlife free roaming, including the Big 5. Nature conservancy lies at the foothills of the Langeberg and Outeniqua Mountain ranges, and is comprised of Fynbos and grass plains.

Activities -

bush survival skills
tracking and reading animal signs
dangerous game approach methods
assist in conservation and wildlife management
examine status of endangered Cape leopard population
non invasive wildlife approach methods
ethics and safety of both humans and wildlife
work in the wilderness both on foot and vehicle
data collection, entry and analysis
experience in wildlife conservation projects

Conservation projects (subject to data collection needs and environmental factors) –

rhino behaviour research, prenatal, gestation and postnatal
large mammal home ranges
elephant habitat utilization to establish carrying capacity
