A family based in Tuscany, Italy is looking for a highly qualified primary teacher to deliver a full curriculum to two children (born in 2008 and 2010). The children are enrolled in the International School of Krakow, Poland, but due to extensive travel itinerary of the family, assistance of the full time private teacher is necessary to deliver the program. The International School of Krakow provides program and curriculum guidelines, however it is the private teacher who decides on the methods of delivery of this curriculum.

Candidate will:
The specific responsibilities and duties are those related to children care and education (home-schooling), such as providing responsible care for 2 children (6 and 8 years old) as well as all education aspects relevant to children’s age. This care and teaching includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Effectively manage the curriculum, plan, prepare and deliver activities that facilitate active learning experience, largely entailing project-based learning
- Create and manage environments, in which technology enhances learning and supports higher order of thinking skills and use of technology for your own professional productivity.
- Observe and evaluate children's performance and development
- Maintain accurate and complete records of children's progress and development
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and education regulation to insure accreditation of children’s results
- Manage children’s behavior by following the guidelines established by parents and enforcing certain procedures
- Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
- Promote a healthy life style and encourage outdoor activities and sports.
- Collaborate with the Liger Learning Center in Phnom Penh Cambodia, established by the Family www.ligerlearning.org
- Perform other duties as required

Needed qualifications:
- Teaching experience at primary level– a minimum of 4-5 years
- Experience in an experiential/project based learning environment is a bonus but not a requirement (camps, nature centers, outdoor education programs, etc.)
- Extensive use of technology to improve learning experience required
- Experience with online courses, global collaborations, etc.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Comfort working in outdoor environment and “on the go” during family`s travels
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide

Location: Tuscany – Chianti region, Italy. Position also entails quite a lot of traveling with the family worldwide.
Contract: A minimum of 2 years contract with 1 year break close.
Starting date: July/August 2016 (or anytime sooner if suitable candidate becomes available)
