Established in 1988, Bilfen Private Primary schools is the leading private k-12 school in Turkey.

The company now boasts 9 high schools, 17 primary schools, and 33 nursery schools based mainly in Istanbul but also with campuses in Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Kayseri and Iskenderun.

Qualified and experienced native speakers and Turkish nationals are invited to apply to start in February 2016 for the 2nd semester, or September 2016 for the new academic year.

English teaching positions are available in various locations from Kindergarten to High School.

Applicants should meet most, preferably all, of the following requirements:

• A University degree (any field) and a CELTA qualification (or equivalent)

• Knowledge of current ELT approaches, curriculum and materials

• Experience in teaching in a primary school

• Commitment to professionalism with strong work ethics, attention to detail, ability and willingness to learn and take initiative

• Highly organized, task-oriented, and computer literate

• Familiarity and willingness to blend technology into language teaching

• Ability to work both independently and as a team member in an innovative environment

Native Speakers

Native speakers teach our Language Arts program using authentic materials and novels.
The novels form the heart of our lessons and act as a spring board into other themes, creative writing, acting, character analysis, and cross-curricular subject matter.

Organisation

Teachers work in planning groups for each grade level.

Our planning meetings are held once a week.

The groups work together to design materials and create lessons for the following weeks.

We have an electronic lesson plan system where teachers access the plans for that week directly from the smart boards in each classroom.
