Embassy Summer is seeking ESL teachers to work for 1 – 2 weeks at our international youth camps located on the following East Coast campuses starting July 13th at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey and Long Island University, CW Post Campus in New York.

Full-day teaching twice a week, with a possibility for activity supervision the rest of the week as well, if you are interested. (Activity supervision will be paid at a different rate than teaching.) There may be further teaching opportunities at our other summer center at Pace University, Manhattan Campus at the end of July /early August and at our year-round New York Embassy English Center after summer groups depart. This is a good way to get your foot in the door!

To be considered for an ESL teaching position at our schools you must have:
1. A bachelor's degree;
2. An English language teaching certification (TEFL /TESL Certificate, CELTA, CTEFL or equivalent such as ELL courses in a credential program)
3. A minimum of one year of ESL or foreign language teaching experience in a classroom situation.
Embassy practices communicative language teaching which is learner-based rather than teacher-based. A friendly and outgoing personality is very important! Overseas teaching experience and knowledge of a foreign language are also preferable attributes. We are accredited by ACCET and are a SEVIS approved institution.
