About Program
This is your chance to undertake a once-in-a-lifetime, short-term educational placement in a hospital in the developing world.
You'll spend time in one of our overseas partner hospitals and get eye-opening clinical experience. Your trip will help you realize your potential as a nurse and help give you a competitive edge during your career.
You'll see, firsthand, the unique challenges that healthcare professionals face, like:
- Sterilizing and reusing 'disposable' equipment
- Families providing bedside care, including manual ventilation
- Lack of patient privacy, with multiple patients sharing a single bed

Iloilo is a tropical paradise. You'll find white-sand beaches and warm seas across the archipelago. Go snorkeling to see vibrant marine life, take part in local street festivals, and there are plenty of local bars to visit after a day on the wards.
In the Philippines, you could gain experience in subspecialties like ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, and toxicology. You can also get experience in the animal bites clinic where you'll see everything from dog bites to tropical snake bites.
Travel with us to Hue, Vietnam, and experience Southeast Asia at its best — imagine buzzing night markets, ancient temples, and delicious street food. And don't forget the tropical beaches, rainforests, and mountain ranges.
