Volunteer Advisor
Carlos likes to travel and get to know and understand new cultures. He is outgoing and noisy.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite memory was living and traveling in India for 6 months. I got to know a new culture, religion, and ways of thinking. I was able to open my mind to a new universe of ideas, customs, and things in general. Thinking outside the box is easy when you are completely out of your comfort zone.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I feel more emphatic towards other people and ideas.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

There was a Dutch guy volunteering with us in Mexico for 6 months, I got to know him and he looked really happy with his work and new environment. Although, I could not see what it really meant to him until he had to leave Mexico and had to say goodbye. His face just teared up and his expression said more than a 1,000 words. He just wanted to stay. He was really in love with the experience.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would want to participate in the Nomad Project in Mongolia. It teaches you how nomadic people lived and its culture. I guess I like retro experiences.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

It makes daily efforts to better its service and follows though with feedback.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Marketing and the way it approaches new volunteers.
