Staff Spotlight: Sabrina Pasquin

Proud to be Italian but always had the feeling of being part of a bigger world. Deeply connected with many people and enjoy learning about different cultures. After some years of career abroad, JOINKI represents a dream come true for her.

The best memory I have had so far was studying abroad in the Netherlands during my university time. Why was this trip so meaningful to me? Because I had the opportunity to meet a lot of international students from all over the world. The Netherlands is a country where people can easily speak many languages at the same time. This is something that doesn’t happen in Italy. Traveling is made up not only of the amazing places you see but more intensively of the people you meet.

Have you ever wondered how some memories are just set up in our minds and how we collect sweet memories over the time? Places always go together with emotions and relationships with people. When I think about the months I spent in the USA, I still think about my friend Lisa and her family, that I still consider my American family.

Joinki is a young agency pursuing an important goal. We want to spread language awareness in Italy while at the same time letting tutors come over to Italy, live the Italian lifestyle, and know the way we live our everyday life. Few organizations in the world have this important goal from both ends. Our priority is the people and their well being.

What does an applicant want to know about our culture? What are his/her hobbies? We will always try to connect him/her with a complete Italian experience by connecting them with the Italian traditions and the local people. This kind of job requires a lot of time, but we want to personalize the program for everyone that is accepted to be part of Joinki.

Connections and relationships between people always bring unexpected results and for sure it helps our young students to grow and understand what is important to pursue in their lives.

Joinki only offers one specialized program, since we want to make sure that we are offering the best quality to our participants, that is why we only want to focus on this one. If I were 20 years old right now, I would chose to go with Joinki without thinking about it. Our program empowers the future leaders of the world, broaden their horizons, and make them culturally aware.

Not only the name that is unique to the entire world and really sticky but also the fact that as a team we specialized in different fields of the program such as organization, visiting families, keeping contact with local communities.

I am really proud of the fact that Joinki has a unique mixture of aspects that could help a person to better know the Italian culture and lifestyle. We want students to be a part of our society, our daily life as Italians, we want to integrate them as much as we can.

Teams are made up of people….this is the key fact. Choose the best people for your team and select the best participants of your program and you will have the success and the happiness you are looking for. I have been very successful in the selection process and I would say this is one of the things I can do best since I can easily identify someone’s personality and abilities. I love listening to people and understanding their wishes and points of view.

In our company we do all with due care. Hospitality for us is far more than a duty, it is a value we hold to. We are persons full of passion, we like what we do and we look to do all the best of our ability, even if knowing that the odd mistake will occur. Looking to take care and have interest in others is a positive way to interpret this life of ours.
