What is your favorite travel memory?

My favourite travel memory was the first time I visited a Disney park.

I had wanted to visit Disney since I was a child and had never had the opportunity to do so. The first Disney park that I visited was Disneyland in Anaheim, California for the 60th Anniversary and I still remember the feeling I experienced when I first saw Sleeping Beauty Castle. It was the most surreal feeling!

I have now had the opportunity to visit almost every Disney theme park in the world and also worked in Walt Disney World, which was an amazing experience.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I have definitely changed since working for Australian Internships. I believe that I have gained a wider, more correct knowledge of the world that I am so lucky to live in and a better understanding and appreciation of International Education.

Daily, I have the opportunity to interact with individuals from many backgrounds, cultures, and countries and enjoy helping those individuals to move to Australia to gain skills and experience that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn. It really is such a rewarding role!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I love hearing stories where every opportunity to experience Australia was taken in every aspect – from the food and the nightlife to making lifelong friends from all over the world. This program is all about ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunities and hearing that my students took risks and were brave enough to try new things makes me excited for their future and proud of their journey.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would choose to complete a 6-month Professional Internship Program as I believe it would give me the skills and experience that I am currently lacking in my chosen field. I also believe that Australian Internships has the resources to find an opportunity for me that is directly related to my Human Resource Management Degree in a city in Australia that I may not have visited before.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Australian Internships offer an Internship Program and the word "Program" means so much more than I could have imagined. We tailor each Internship to the individual applicant and support them before, during and after their Internship. Along with this, each of us in our individual roles develope personal relationships with our stakeholders to ensure we are performing best practice in everything that we do.

Something happens each day which makes me proud to be a part of Australian Internships - my team really go above and beyond and I couldn't complete my role without each individual in the organization.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe that communication holds the greatest importance of any successful company. Communication throughout the organization and with stakeholders ensures that policies, procedures and best practices are being implemented. This creates a respectful and understanding culture for everyone involved throughout the process.
