What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memory is when I went to South Korea for my sister's wedding. Since I was a little girl, it was always a dream to go there and since being a Spanish teacher, I have taught many students from South Korea. For these reasons, I was really excited to visit. I got to know the culture more deeply and also I was able to reunite with some of my past students too. While they were studying in Spain, I tried to support them in a foreign country and also teach them about our culture. So it was amazing to visit them in their home country and get to know their culture too!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I have spent many years working with international students, and now at Euroace I feel like I can use my experience and really make a difference as a teacher here. I relate well to international students, I empathize with them and I try to understand them as people and not just as students, in order to help them improve.

Since working for Euroace, I have learned how to adapt to bigger and smaller classes. For example, I now feel comfortable teaching a class of 10 or a class of 4. I realize it's important to be more dynamic with a larger class and I have grown in this aspect.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I taught a student who was here in Spain due to her husband's work. So, at first, I had to communicate through her husband about the class schedule. She was very shy and alone in a new country.

When she returned for the next semester, I could notice the classes gave her confidence and she no longer needed to use her husband to translate. I could see the classes were fun for her and were a great help in helping her adapt to her new life in Spain.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would choose the overseas internship program.

If I were an international student coming to Spain, an internship would be great to learn how to communicate and work in a new environment, and to get to know the local people and businesses. Also, to learn about the culture, the cuisine, make new friends and take up a new routine which sometimes can be just what you need.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I think what makes Euroace special is the great vibe and friendly environment you can feel when you walk in. On my first day here, I felt comfortable and welcomed. I also feel like the students can ask anything and are well supported by all the staff.

I have been proud to be part of the Euroace staff because I think we have great cooperation and you can always ask for advice. I feel like there is a trust between colleagues and we support each other the best we can!

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I think each member of the team needs to be independent, take responsibility and do their job well, but also support others if they need something.

I think the teachers need to create a friendly and comfortable environment for students to learn in. I love to help people and that's why I am in this field and have chosen to study psychology. As a teacher, I need to observe well and then do my best to facilitate the student's needs.
