Spanish Language Immersion Program with Homestay in Guatemala

Lessons include conversation, games, translation, grammar, oral and written exercises and discussions on a range of topics. We also provide access to our collection of Latin American music, literature and board games.

Living with a Guatemalan family is an essential element in our immersion program. Doing so allows you to listen to Spanish as it is spoken by local people living their daily life.

El Quetzal wants to give you the opportunity to use your newly achieved Spanish skills in a variety of contexts like roundtable discussions, classes in Guatemalan cuisine, lectures on ecology, literature, history, multi-culturalism and globalization. We also provide trips to nearby Mayan markets, communal meals, salsa and meringue classes and more.
