London Winter 2023 Internship

Totally buzzing city to live and intern in. Exceptional work and networking opportunities, but also lots of downtime to experience the city too. Easy and quick application process. No visa required to travel, so it was pretty straightforward as long as you have an EU passport. Pretty long but exciting work days, with rotation across artist management, client services, and licensing, which was by far the most interesting coming from a business background. Expensive overall but fully justified for the ease and convenience of accessing high quality work experience and stellar resume building.

Pros
  • Stellar resume enhancement
  • Career building expererience

Loving life in London.

Well just to say I'm very happy for the internship and this experience... Thank you to Marc and Beatbrdg Internships for their patience in finding me the perfect role. I finished my internship last month, and took a week to go to Paris and then Amsterdam, and loved every new experience and every minute. Europe is safe, so clean and just beautiful. Simon and the team at Universal were very nice and shared so much with me during my stay. I would love to go back, and am full of gratitude for the opportunity.

Pros
  • Brilliant internship
  • Beautiful city

This is why I love music

This summer, I had the opportunity to intern in Amsterdam, my country's capital city. It was a great mix of professional and personal development, and getting to re-know a city I last lived in as a child. Amsterdam is a city that you have to just get out and explore on foot or by bike, and there is so much to see and do.

I have been passionate about music for a number of years, and being able to finally attend some of our biggest summer events was a great feeling. The energy of the people I worked with really excited me and made me happy to go into work each day.

Amsterdam is back to being as busy as it was before covid, and in some ways this makes the weekends a little too packed up, but we had great weather for most of my stay, and taking the boat over to Noorderpark or spending a Saturday in Westerpark with friends felt relaxed. It was great that the program offered us a few opportunities to meet other students to get us settled into the city and expand our groups, inspiring us to do as much as we possibly could with our time. I would encourage others to do this porigramme if they want to experience working and living in another city and overseas.

Pros
  • Very professional internship with great co-workers
  • Cosmopilitan life in Amsrerdam, with lots of chances to enjoy the city during weekends
  • Meeting new people in our group, and learning more abot different cultures and perspectives, not just in music

6 weeks in Berlin with BeatBrdg

I left it late to begin my internship this summer and could only stay for 6 weeks in my agency in Berlin. We got to work in the legal and commercial departments of the group, assisting with calculating payments and billings, tax payments for self-employed artists, contracts and rights. At first the processes were hard to follow and very different to BE law, but the team shared their experience and quickly we could embrace the situations more. I enjoyed living in a big city, and felt it more open than I expected, with many social possibilities. I earned 4 credits for the internship, and have international experience to add to my resume. Very nice experience.

My ultimate London internship guide

As a BBA student with a long term goal to work in the music industry applying to Beatbrdg was a great decision. London is a special city, and having the opportunity to work at Universal for the summer was a dream come true. Having previously interned in NY I thought I knew what to expect, but culturally England is totally different to the US and being able to experience this firsthand was invaluable. My role was mainly data-driven and marketing led, and has helped me gain a fuller understanding of how the industry relies on data to make key artist decisons. I would love to return to London, and fully endorse this program for its ability to deliver a great internship with a major label.

Pros
  • 100% career focused opportunties tailored to your goals
  • Tuition was low and affordable
  • My adviser matched me with a great company

Summer NY

My internship experience in New York was definitely worth it. I had an amazing two months living and working in the city, creating unforgettable memories, making great friends and building valuable life experience. The entire process was lot easier that we initially thought, and the visa process and accommodation were quick and simple thanks to the staff at BeatBrdg! Recommending this experience is an easy thing to do for lots of reasons, the cost of the program, the solid internship, and the overall experience.

Pros
  • Coolest city on Earth.
  • Great internship
  • Lots of opportunities to grow and learn about the industry

Berlin Summer Internship

My internship in Berlin was great. Getting to intern in a studio for 6 weeks definitely increased my reading of the industry and what it takes to become a leading engineer. Being open to all genres of music helped as we had sessions with musicians across EDM, hip-hop, a lot of commercial artists and even German grime. Berlin has a really strong music scene that is much bigger and faster than what we have at home in Japan and is more similar to what we have here in London. I learned a lot from my team in the studio but also from the musicians that we worked with. An unforgettable and challenging experience that forced me to reassess my limits and be ready for anything!

A nice program and getaway

This has been an amazing trip. London is vibrant, beautiful, and historic. The food was so good to try all the local treats. I began my search for a way to work in London in May because I love it so much. I saw an opportunity to come and follow an internship in music industry so I apply. Beatbrdg interns placed me with a music promotion agency that was absolutely perfect for me. I get to work each day and have Fridays off to travel and spend time in the city. I stayed for 6 weeks and really enjoy the experience.

Eye-opening experience.

I wanted to intern in Amsterdam to learn more about myself and to begin building my CV, and BEATBRDG gave me exactly what I wanted this Summer. My internship companies were tailored exactly to my interests of music communications and pr. The internship-matching process was one of the things that I really found easy to work through and fast. We had helpful advisors in London and Amsterdam that looked after us and supported us when we arrived introducing us to some cultural and professional events for us to attend. Getting to live abroad for 6 weeks and being able to learn from some really great people made for a truly life-affirming summer.

Pros
  • Amsterdam has a beautiful energy.
  • Very engaging internship experience.

New York review

My first summer in New York is really rewarding experience. First the internship is very good with many chances to learn and try new things. I go five days in the week and we do production and engineering each time. My skill in managing the desk, manage the equipment, and help in the studio grow each time. My exposure is with live and electronic music and vocal. Lots of time we focus on learn how to set all equipment in the right way, and learn how the artist wants. I enjoy very much the time working and living in New York. Happy to go again.

Pros
  • different food
  • many stores and things to visit
Cons
  • dxb to jfk is 14 hours flight
