About Program

Here at CCUSA, we have four different volunteer projects in the Philippines. Short term participants will be placed in Manila and have the option to work at a day care center, teaching children ages 3-5 the alphabet and basic concepts like colors, shapes, sizes, and days of the week through songs, stories, and play. Volunteers can also tutor older elementary and high school students math, science, English, health, and computer skills. Medically trained volunteers can help at the local health center with patients and clinics. Lastly, our volunteers can also help our school rebuilding project or environment program where we rebuild the community of Manila for the residents.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
