Day to day can vary, this is an animal refuge for pumas, monkeys, jaguars, birds, and other local animals. Most are saved from illegal trade, circus performing, or being pets in small cages. I took care of a puma and a bear while there; everything from cleaning the habitat, taking for walks, feeding etc. It is interesting and fun, plenty of other volunteers, weekly parties. On the downside, it is dangerous, there is not much training, the town is not altogether accepting of the park or international volunteers, support can be a bit slack, and living quarters are fairly shabby. It's not necessarily expensive, though some thought the money situation was a little questionable. But at the end of the day, I do have fond memories of the place and the animals. A rare experience for sure.
