Best Virtual Internship Experience Ever!!!

It was a delightful experience to intern virtually through the Global Experiences program. My internship was in the field of Marketing Analytics. This was new to me, as I had only done a few online courses in the relevant area. However, I felt I needed some practical exposure, and chose Global Experiences because of their reputation and the high number of interns they place in marketing positions across Europe.

I was virtually placed for a marketing firm outside of London, England. The GE staff made sure that the internship went as per plan, and they checked in regularly to see if I was doing okay. I was asked for feedback halfway through the internship, and before the end of the internship to ascertain quality service and that my needs were being met. Every effort was taken to make sure the internship was a smooth and delightful experience. Overall, I am extremely glad that I chose Global Experiences over other similar programs. The internship exceeded my expectations. Through the GE Virtuoso program, I have made life long connections, which I am forever grateful for.

The Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder test that came with the internship made me see myself differently by understanding my strengths and weaknesses. I had a virtual session with trained Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder experts to asses my strengths and weaknesses. I learnt how to play to my strengths while turning my weaknesses into strengths. The session costs hundreds of dollars, but with the GE Virtuoso program it was included.

After completing the internship, I started getting an edge in the competitive Covid-19 induced job market. Most employers are interested in my GE Virtuoso internship, and that’s the first thing they ask me in the interviews.

I have to say, the memories I made while interning for GE will last a lifetime. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, and would like to recommend this program to anyone who is seeking to advance their career.
