Review

I went to Bard Early High School Manhattan, and spent my last semester of college at BardNYC. This program offered a transition time after living on campus while still being enrolled and beginning to work (through the internship that's part of the BardNYC program). The internship at the New York Botanical Garden introduced me to children's education, and while it was not paid, I was offered an opportunity to work as a part-time staff member upon the completion of the internship.

The core course I was enrolled in, taught by Micheal Cohen, brought the class on field trips around sites of social importance in NYC, and I continue to think and write about topics we discussed in class.

The building itself is brand new and is situated a couple blocks from the L train, which provide easy access to midtown Manhattan. Even though I didn't live in the dormitory, I felt like part of the community thanks to the cohort groupchat and multiple social events such as dinners and the end of semester party, which facilitated friendships with my wonderfully international peers. There is so much in New York City to create lasting bonds with the interesting, intelligent BardNYC community.
