About Program

As the largest of the seven Canary Islands, and known for its golden sandy beaches and the dramatic lunar landscape of Mount Teide National, Tenerife is an earthly paradise you can enjoy now through Frontier’s Media and Journalism internship!

All interns in our Journalism placements will have the opportunity to work as field journalists, reporting and/or documenting the work of several social activities and projects on the island (you’d travel around Tenerife’s unspoiled villages and fantastic diving all while working!). You may also undertake your tasks from different perspectives, depending on your skills and experience, such as article writing, photography, videography, blogging or vlogging.

Tenerife is certainly the perfect place to kickstart a perfect entry into the world of travel journalism!

Tenerife Trip

Ellen was an outstanding member of staff who made me feel very welcoming. She has supported me throughout tough times and was a massive help when going up coastal due to my fear of heights. She not only does an incredible job of training, but the data collection and uploading the data was explained and was easy to do. She has been kind and she is very motivated to do the best she can in her work, while taking on other responsibilities which are not in her job role. I would like to thank Ellen for making my time here very enjoyable and she should be proud of the work she is conducting here!!
