Great Short-Internship in Mwanza with Shamiri

I had a really great three-week internship in an NGO in Mwanza. The work in the NGO was very interesting and varied. I had different opportunities to get involved and work with the NGO.
My trip to Mwanza was well organized by Shamiri. My Shamiri supervisors were really welcoming, helpful, easily accessible and spontaneous. They helped me for example to orientate in the city or get to know my project. The preparation seminar in Germany was also very helpful and prepared me well for the trip to Tanzania.
So thanks a lot Shamiri for the great experience and the opportunity. I am missing Mwanza already and I am locking forward to come back once.

Pros
  • Traveling alone without being alone
  • Intercultural experience

Internship at a school with Shamiri Volunteer

We had the great opportunity to complete our internship at an school in Tanzania. We collected so many positive experiences and memories. With Shamiri Volunteer we had the best care. The work at the school was very interesting and we had a lot of joy to teach the children. We felt always safe and well. We left with a broken heart as we met so many great people. With our stay we developed personally and mentally.
There are no words which can describe this incredible adventure.

Thank you Shamiri! We miss you!
