Established on July 17, 2012, Altruis Indonesia is a non-profit organization designed to place qualified European and worldwide university students and graduates at professional internship and voluntary programs with our hosting organization in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia.

The projects not only assist and support the building of an educational world to help regional schools/university/company to grow in the respect of the progressive learning and understanding as well as international friendship through cross-cultural activities, but also make opportunity for interns or volunteers in cooperative business projects and offer local products from our organization to global companies or business organization for sustainable projects. Our Internship - voluntary projects is a fantastic opportunity to be a responsible intern or volunteer, make a positive contribution during volunteer's stay at schools/university/companies or host organization.

What a wonderful and amazing experience Holly and I had! This program was so great to volunteer and intern for because it's so incredibly flexible. We only had a week to volunteer, and our only skills were speaking conversational English, and yet they maximized our ability to help students. We worked with two different high schools, for two busy days each. We met very enthusiastic and friendly students and we exchanged our cultures with them while practicing our English. Sukabumi is a cute little city, and our hosts were unbelievably kind and generous. We really felt like we became a welcomed part of this community after just a short stay. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will dearly miss the amazing people we met. Hopefully we can come back and volunteer for longer next time.

What would you improve about this program?

We are very pleased amazing you both for coming. During your staying with us, we were not feeling in the least burden on the contrary you very much helping our activities here. You really are quite professional volunteers who are so easily able to adjust to the culture of our different country. You can teach students speaking English although it was in a short but memorable, and impressions.
