What is your favorite travel memory?
Probably the first I saw Fontana di Trevi in Rome. I had dreamt of that moment since I was a little child. So when I finally turned a street and saw it, it felt magical.
I had a similar experience in Switzerland. Being on Rigi's summit, surrounded by mountains, I felt so small in the best possible way! That's one of my favourite things of travelling -that sense of wonder.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Although I had experience as coordinator, this is the first time I'm in charge of my own project inside a company -which is exciting and challenging at the same time! I've worked in the field for years and I'm thrilled to share what I've learnt... I just need some more time, since I started one month ago!
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
One of our students returned to her study abroad destination to work with us as an intern for three months, and she had the opportunity to live the program from our perspective. She loved her second time around so much, she started her career in the study abroad field and is now study abroad director in her alma mater! So she's the living proof that studying abroad can drastically change your life.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
The internship in Valencia program, of course! Historical monuments, sunny weather most of the year, by the sea, and with lots of projects and new companies emerging. People are very welcoming and there's always something happening. But given that I was born and raised in Valencia, I might be a little biased here.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
I've always felt reassured that my opinion mattered and that I had the support of my team. That's something I don't take for granted. What makes us unique is that we will adapt to our students' needs to find internships that add value to their careers. It's not just about spending some time abroad -it's about developing your skillset, to set the foundation of your professional career.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
Realizing the importance of studying abroad. It's not just visiting another country, but actually immersing in the community, learn from it, and giving something back. And besides that, a study abroad program contributes to the development of valuable career skills. To ensure this, companies must keep up with -and sometimes anticipate- the needs of a generation about to enter the job market.
