Had a great internship in Bangkok

I recently completed a fulfilling three-month internship program with My Internship Asia, and it was an exceptional experience. After several unsuccessful attempts to secure an internship in Thailand over a period of 3-4 months, I found myself with limited time to find a suitable placement before my planned trip to Thailand. Fortunately, the dedicated staff at MIA stepped in and exceled the process, securing me an internship within weeks and assisting me with getting the necessary visa just before my departure to Thailand. I am delighted to say that I received an offer from an outstanding marketing company, and my time there has been nothing short of fantastic. It has truly been a remarkable experience!

What was your funniest moment?
During the interview, i got some unexpected questions. I was nervous but it was a fun and interesting interview. I know that this company will be the be fun to work with.
Pros
  • Fast process
  • no headache during the process

Great internship experience in Thailand

I stumbled upon My Internship Asia thanks to a friend's recommendation and decided to give their services a shot. Let me tell you, it was a game-changer! They made my life so much easier by helping me find some awesome internship options in Thailand.

Before I reached out to them, I had tried my hand at searching for internships on my own. But despite having good grades and confidence in my skills, I got zero responses from anyone. Frustration was setting in. My Internship Asia came to my rescue and found me a fantastic opportunity. What's more, when I landed in Thailand, they were there to pick me up from the airport and showed me the way to my new office.

They took great care of me, and their support not only made my transition smooth but also made it easier for my parents to get on board with my dream of interning abroad. I can't thank them enough for their help!

Pros
  • It's like having a professional helping me to succeed in my internship abroad
  • save more time
  • I don't have to worry about visa
Cons
  • it's a paid service which is fair enough

No, I don't recommend this program

Unfortunately a Scam!

In the beginning the interactions with MIA seamed alright but unfortunately their integrity broke down when we couldn´t find an internship because of visa reasons. Got ghosted after requesting the refund of deposit.

Unfortunately a Scam!!!

Great opportunity to grow.

Wonderful experience with continuous support from the team.
I was supported immensely until the moment I found an internship that matched with my interest. Everything happened out smoothly and I could start with an opportunity as per my plans.

Amidst the struggles finding a good opportunity in this chaotic situation, with the support from MIA I could find a wonderful opportunity.
They have continued follow ups not just when you are searching for the opportunity but also when you already start working as an Intern.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Every day has been a new opportunity, just embrace it and give your best.

6-month internship

Hello everyone, it’s been 2 months now that I started my internship in Bangkok in a travel agency. Since my Master graduation back in France, I always wanted to find a new unique experience here in Thailand, country which I discovered previously doing an academic exchange and a first internship. It was getting hard for me back in France to find what I wanted even though I had contacts. And I found My Internship Asia on LinkedIn so I was like, why not giving it a try.

And finally I am here, enjoying my life and my work experience. All of this would have not been possible without using MIA and its expertise in matching people with the right organisation. I would like to recommend MIA to anyone looking for a internship in Thailand. So many hours spent to deal with all administrative papers, MIA team really took the time to help me out. Please do not hesitate and go ahead.

Why did you choose this program?

I chose MIA because my university shared an internship opportunity and I also got recommended by my advisor. I thought the internship will be interesting experience to do and it can help to develop on what I'm currently studying. Another reason I chose this program because I was able to travel around in Thailand and, at the same time, gaining work experience.

What did your program provider assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

My university advisor helped me to improve my resume and giving advice what I should do before taking the internship and during the internship. Such as I should do research about the internship and what should I expect to get out of this internship. Things I have to organise on my own would be the transportation, but transportation in Bangkok is so easy. It is not even a problem to get around.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

One advice is don't be afraid to try new things. For example, in Thailand there might be a lot of food that is unfamiliar to people who is living in the UK or other places. Getting out of your comfort zone once in a while will do you good and you will not regret it.

I was a bit scared to try new things, especially when it comes to food. However, I took that mindset off by just doing it, I'm already here might as well try it. After that, I never regretted it.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

Normal work hour which is 5 days of 8 hours of work. Every day is filled with different works and never got bored of it. I'm mainly doing the digital marketing in here. Such as I will take videos and pictures around Thailand and sharing it online. Create posters and events for the program. Every day I get to do something that I enjoy doing and every day I'm learning something new.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

My biggest fear was what if I didn't fit in here. I was excited going abroad, but at the same time I was scared that I might not fit in the culture here. However, when I arrive, my fear disappear. Everyone is so friendly here, everyone is willing to help out, teaching me all the cultures and taking me around in Thailand. Now looking back at my fear, I was scared of changing and stepping out of my comfort zone. That's is why everyone should get out of the comfort zone once in a while.

Write and answer your own question.

After you traveled around to different places, you would feel like a different person. Also capturing all the memories is the best. I was able to show my friends and family back home how much I'm doing here and how much I have grown. By going abroad can actually make you more independent and more mature, which is something can't gain easily by staying at the same place. You have to take care of yourself in a place the language is different and culture is different. Learning a bit of Thai also helped me a lot by getting around.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memory is when I got a chance to visit my friend in Valencia, Spain (2018). It is one of the most wonderful cities for me. The people are so nice and the weather is so good. Personally, I am a beach person, so do not be surprised why this trip became my favorite.

I have experienced lots of new cultures because this is my first time in Europe. Having a local take you to the place that you might not find in the guide books made my trip more excited than I expected.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I realized that I become more responsible since I have been working for My Internship Asia and that is quite a big change for me. My duty is to make sure any problems will be solved in the best and quickest possible way. Moreover, this job gives me opportunities to get to know people from all over the world.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I heard of a story, before I arrived at My Internship Asia, of two American students that did an internship in a Visual Media Company that does documentaries about different subjects. They wanted to develop filming, video editing, and creative skills. From the start of their internship, they went to different places to film events and places. I heard they went on Thai Islands to film for documentaries, they went to very nice hotels and restaurants to film what it was like inside and managed to have quite a few advantages as interns working for this company.

They were really happy with their experience and their manager was also really pleased with their work. He even proposed them to stay and work full time with him but they had to go back to the US. I think they are still in contact and probably going to do projects together in the future.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would like to choose our MIA premium because I think it is the best value package. Not only all the benefits I will get from My internship Asia staff, but also I will have a chance to make new friends with other interns by living at shared accommodation. I believe the best way to learn another different culture is to learn from native ones. It will definitely be a good experience during an internship overseas.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

What makes My Internship Asia different from any internship company is we work for the interns, not for the company. We represent you. We will make sure that your internship in Thailand under our care will be the best experience you would get. We understand how difficult it would be when you have to travel alone to new places and gain international experience, that is why we are here for you if you need any help.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe the combination of good management and teamwork is the secret to success for a company. I think big companies such as Google or Facebook have organizational skills that allow the company to manage their work properly. When you have lots of work to do and big objectives to realize, you need to allocate the right skills and the right teams on the right tasks. I also think that it is really important for the company to believe in what they sell and truly believe they are working to find solutions to people's needs. This applies to any company: big or small.
