The training I received (almost 10 years ago) has been a crucial part of my success in teaching. I remained in Costa Rica after my certification and moved to Jaco. It was there that I started teaching in a Montessori school and began growing a clientele of students. My students were professionals, service industry workers, doctors, dentists and many young school age students. The demand was so great that I opened my doors for a language academy and hired additional teachers. It was, hands down, the best decision I have ever made and it was all done when I turned 50 and retired from my first career! Pura Vida

With Intarnational TEFL Academy I had tha chans to go to both Thailand and China, looking back I might have stayed in Thailand longer, but wanted to try China as well.
A little warning though China is a Culture shock like you would not believe, but it is the best place if you want to make and save money.
I love to travel and having a TEFL cetificate opens the entire world, however if you go to Europe your living expenses is exactly the same as your salary so you will always break even. Carpe Diem.

I knew my novitiate rank did not cause the teachers or support people to discount my needs and requirements. The direction and pace of the sessions made logical sense to me as well. I appreciated the practicum requirement while at the same time allowing much freedom in the type and place of the practicum I chose.
The support offered by the Academy's home staff responded fairly quickly and thoroughly to my queries. The professor for my particular class answered each of my technical questions and academic questions in a personable and matter of fact manner. I thought the value and logic founding the grading system was consistent and reflected my performance in light of the course and individual class rubric.

Overall, I am more than pleased with the TEFL Academy, as their staff has been nothing but helpful during my journey of becoming an English teacher. Landing on which certification to go with is extremely complicated, and there are obviously more affordable options. HOWEVER, TEFL Academy is worth the price tag in terms of quality education and serves. The instructors were helpful, the lessons were easy to follow and everything went well. The job search manual has been useful as well, and overall it's a great little package. Arguably the best online option for this type of career field.

ITA provides a high-quality Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. The course instructors, academic advisors, admissions advisors and other staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Along with the certification course, they offer lifetime job search guidance, informative webinars, other informative materials and a number of other valuable resources. I would highly recommend International TEFL Academy to anyone wishing to teach English online or overseas. I thoroughly enjoyed their 11-week online certification course, which is fully remote and consists of study modules, discussion forums, weekly assignments, optional office hours and live virtual classes, a final project and a practicum.

This program is exceptional beyond words. It helps to prepare people from all walks of life and backgrounds to get into the adventure of teaching English for a diverse list of reasons people may have. It has provided me opportunity for additional income, travel, getting out my comfort zone, and experiencing new cultures while teaching (and also learning from students as well). I will forever appreciate the program. It provides Me the opportunity to go travel the world, build new connections, see different cultures and be able to provide for myself financially if needed. An excellent program that does not discriminate on if you had prior teaching experience or not. Like many other career certification paths do. Really appreciate TEFL Academy!

This is a wonderful school for becoming TEFL certified and having support for the rest of your life. The staff and educators were always available for any questions and/or support throughout the entire program. The schedule was very flexible for working students and the assignments were difficult and challenging but so much as to be unobtainable. I have referred at least three people to The International TEFL Academy and will continue to do so whenever I come across like minded people looking to become TEFL certified.

ITA came in a time of my life where I was looking to take my career in a new direction. ITA was not only a new opportunity, it was a new beginning for me. I was engaged from day one in addition to receiving endless support from faculty and staff. I embraced the journey and I have no regrets because it ignited a passion in me I never knew existed in me and that is teaching! A huge 'thank you' to everyone at ITA, your efforts are never in vain! It took me a while to decide on a course of study after making the choice to change career paths at this stage of life. I heard about ITA and did my research. In my opinion, it offered the most extensive TEFL certification course out there. I feel like I was supported during the course and the education and preparation I received made it possible to go out and find students to teach with confidence. I have now been working full-time for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. I am so glad that I made the decision to study with ITA.

Every element of course readings, writing assignments, debates and online interaction with other students as well as professors were incredibly useful. Within a month of gaining my certification, I went confidently into the TEFL teaching world of Paris, France. Thanks to this program's incredible resources, research techniques, readings, assignments, and in-field teacher training, I currently teach ESL at 4 Universities in Paris, France. This was a career-changing program, can't recommend it enough.
