Great experience!

I had a wonderful time in Poland and spent two weeks with Angloville! I did kids and juniors programme and both were amazing! The children were lovely and enthusiastic and other volunteers in the programme were lovely as well! I will forever cherish those memories and highly recommend Angloville to everyone! The coordinators are super nice and helpful. Some days can be tiring but you always have free time during the day to relax. The venues are beautiful and most of them had areas to play some sports like football and volleyball.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
I definitely recommend staying in the city of departure a couple of days before or after the programme to have more time to travel around the city. Bring your own snacks to the programme and spare change as some venues may have a cafe/bar to buy food.

Adventures across Poland

I spent 2 weeks with Angloville across 2 camps in Poland and it was a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of meeting great mentors and getting to know many kids from different walks of life. The camp sites were lovely, set in idyllic parts of Poland. I've come away with special memories that I will hold very close to me. It was great to meet mentors from across the globe knowing we all had one thing in common and that was wanting to share our knowledge and language with the kids. Would definitely recommend for anyone thinking about taking part.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Just be yourself and enjoy your time getting to know the kids.

Worth it

My experience with the Angloville Junior program in Malta was amazing. I was a bit nervous to travel, because of the Covid-19 situation. However, the program was well organized and the coordinators were really friendly! It was lovely to get to know the young participants and have the opportunity to impact their lives with the conversations we had. We did a lot of fun activities and sightseeing in Malta with the children. In general, it was a fun program. And if you enjoy travelling I would definitely recommend doing a program with Angloville.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I believe it was meeting the participants. It was my first program with Angloville and I didn't really know what I should expect from the speaking sessions. I was surprised by how well the speaking sessions went and how easy it was to converse with the participants.

Great Fun

Went to Poland to volunteer with Angloville for two weeks, ended up doing another! Had an absolute ball. Made so many new friends and learned a bit of Polish. Great for first time volunteers, no fuss, no frills kind of place. Very easy from an organisation standpoint.
The hotels were overall very good, sometimes they would have too many of us in the one room.
The days were really long, but very fun, not a dull moment. The kids were so nice and friendly, but they definitely are from much wealthier backgrounds.

Amazing experience

Being a mentor was a great experience. You get the chance to meet amazing people and children. You teach children how to improve their English skills. Nevertheless, you also gain from the experience- life wisdom. You always end the journey with a little bit more of knowledge .

You get to have a lot of fun and connect with many people. The relationships may last forever.

The accommodation is most of the time really good and the staff is almost always kind and caring. Sometimes you may encounter problems with WiFi.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Do not hesitate to mentor and participate in Angloville programs. Nevertheless, I do advice taking a break after 2 weeks of consecutive volunteering.

Awesome experience!

This was an amazing experience! It couldn't have gone any smoother, the staff and the other mentors are just so friendly and you feel welcomed right away. The venues are stunning and the kids are so excited to be there, which made my time all the more better. I hope to come back to Europe to do more programs as it's unique and lots of fun. I will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know and hopefully get more Kiwis onto the program. It's a great way to experience the culture of a country with like minded people.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Probably all the different forms of soup that we had for lunch.

Great experience

The application process for Angloville was really easy and my recruiter always answered any questions I had. The two programmes I participated in were run by enthusiastic and friendly people who had the participants and mentors best interests at heart and ensured everybody was having a good time. The speaking sessions were fun and I learned so much from the Polish participants during my time at Angloville, it was easy to make friends as everyone was very approcable! I would definitely return to Angloville and would recommend it to anyone!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Give it your best effort and be genuinely interested in getting to know the other mentors and participants!

A very well-organised, well-resourced and fun programme

Native speakers who participate in the Angloville programmes are given lots of constant and valuable support throughout, and this means that all their efforts can be directed towards making the week-long experience really worthwhile for the local participants. Both the native speaker coordinator, and the local participants' coordinator, went above and beyond the call of duty on my recent course in Slovakia, and I salute them both! The course can be quite hard work for the natives, but there is sufficient down-time in the evenings to relax and blow off some steam. Angloville select awesome hotels for these experiences, too, and this is an added benefit for any native English speakers who might be considering joining a programme in the future.

Highly recommended.

What would you improve about this program?
There are, evidently, very mixed abilities among the local participants (in terms of their command of English), therefore it's very difficult to strike the right note with conversation/vocabulary material provided....I think Angloville are still trying to make this perfect!

Great Experience

Really enjoyed my 4 weeks of Angloville. The juniors were really nice and easy to work with and the fellow native speakers were a lot of fun, made some really great friends doing this programme and memories to last a live time. Also did a adult programme which was also really good. Highly recommend using angloville if you to dip your toes into teaching English. The weeks are quite long so plan breaks if your going to do more than one as you will have to talk all day. If you’ve got some time to give, definitely do it even if it’s only for the experience.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Going to the city tour and wondering who will show up.

Angloville experience

I really enjoyed my programs I did with Angloville I made some incredible friends with other native speakers as well as with the participants and I gained a lot of value out of sharing my knowledge and experiences with others. It made a huge impact on my travelling as I had really no direction and Angloville hooked me up with great opportunities, free food, and a free bed. It also hooked me up with like minded people that I ended up travelling with for small stints. Would definitely recommend the program to travellers wanting to make an impact.
