Volunteer Project Managers - the Peace Project

The Peace Project is seeking two individuals to work in Laguna de Apoyo, a protected nature reserve surrounding a spectacular volcanic crater lake located between the Nicaraguan cities of Granada and Masaya. The Peace Project is part of a 25-year project that has worked with the local community to develop initiatives to increase opportunities and protect the unique local environment in partnership with rotary clubs in both the United States and Granada.

Some of our current programs include:
• Computer courses for adults and children
• Organic gardening
• After school activities
• English language training
• Environmental education

We are currently looking for candidates that work well both in a team and independently, and engage the community while bringing their own passion and ideas to the organization. Project managers will be provided room and board at the Peace Project hostel along with a small monthly stipend. Hours are flexible with time off on weekends.
