Just enough time to both study and explore London

Initially, I assumed that London would not be too different from any other capital city. I had this assumption, because I'm from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, so I was familiar with cities that double as popular tourist attractions. However, with this experience I was able to understand the perspective of a tourist in a new city better, which was a change from being a passive city native like myself. Additionally, I found that was able to go to all of the main tourist attractions within the first week, like the London eye, big ben, tower bridge, and Abbey Road (the street from the Beetles album cover). Classes are typically from 9:30 to 1:30 Monday-Thursday so you can go out in the afternoon and the weekend with plenty of time to factor in assessments. Many of the students in my group visited neighboring countries, like Paris or Amsterdam.
