Ramro experience in Kathmandu!

I liked my program placement at the Amma ghar orphanage in Kathmandu. Uma and her family was very accommodating and friendly, they took care of the volunteers needs very much. The kids were all well brought up and assisted me with the chores/work. The highlight of my trip was the exposure of living and working with the children. The children are an adorable bunch and they brighten up my stay. I learned a lot from these kids daily activities (cleaning, playing, washing, studying) Also, I get to do some travel apart from the daily work which made my entire trip more fruitful.

The trip made me feel how lucky I was to have all the facilities in life, which these kids would consider a luxury. It has made me a better person and now I would not take things for granted.
