Foundation Course in French Fashion and Culture

This program is an in depth introduction to the French Fashion Industry and its cultural and artistic influences. Students will acquire a solid base in art-history, fashion culture, sculpture, fashion design, figure drawing and pattern-making. This 6-month foundation course helps students develop their creative voice and prepares them for the rigors of an art and design program. This multidisciplinary course includes seminars, creative workshops, and offsite visits in Paris. Each module is taught by Industry professionals specialized in various domains of the fashion industry. An optional module of French as a second Language is also available. This course is a fantastic precursor to our fashion design and business programs and not only gives students a head start but allows them time to acclimate to life in Paris.
