About Program
With over 30 years experience teaching Spanish, Spanish School Tecun Uman has developed a curriculum that focuses on all facets of language acquisition: reading, writing, vocabulary, auction, and pronunciation. Our one on one classes allow students to set their own goals and move at their own pace. Our teachers, who are all college educated, use a combination of role playing games, structured conversations, and more to help students feel comfortable.
We believe Spanish is more fun and much easier if you have more opportunities to practice, thus we encourage students to stay with local Guatemalan families. We also offer social activities and weekend trips that will give you the opportunity to practice Spanish, learn more about local culture, and have fun.

Location
Antigua was the capital of Guatemala prior to a major earthquake that left most of the city in ruins. Guatemala city then became the capital, and Antigua city returned into a small town until the whole city was deemed a UNESCO world heritage site. Attractions include monuments and buildings, as they preserve Guatemala's historical beauty and showcase the Spanish influence in the area.
