About Program
This course is designed to offer an introduction to innovative technologies and their applications to a cultural heritage sphere. Designed for students and professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering, archaeology, and other cultural heritage-focused disciplines that desire to incorporate digital methods into their work. The course will provide theoretical and applied knowledge from three practitioners in the field, with talks from prominent experts in the fields of digital applications to cultural heritage and valorization of cultural heritage sites using digital technologies. By the end of the course, students will have a broad understanding of the theory behind the technologies, their applications in the field, and the workflows required to bring projects to completion. Students will get hands-on training in 3D modeling, close-range scanning, terrestrial laser scanning, and GIS, as well as receive personalized input on the design.
