Tía Tula Spanish School

Estudié español en el Colegio Tía Tula durante tres meses y medio en los niveles B1, B2, y C1. Lo recomendaría a todos que quieren mejorar su español, divertirse, y conocer personas de muchos diferentes países. Los profesores son buenísimos y la administración es súper maja. Los estudiantes son super amables. Ya que hay estudiantes de todo el mundo, las clases están totalmente en español para que tuviéramos una experiencia inmersiva. Cada día, tuvimos clases con dos profesores para escuchar más acentos y aprender mejor la lengua. Además, como la academia tiene un programa de entrenamiento de profes, a veces tuvimos nuestros profes más algún hablante nativo que estaba en prácticas. Eso es un gran beneficio para los estudiantes porque siempre pudimos practicar con muchos hablantes nativos. El edificio es súper hermoso y, cuando no hay virus, hay muchas actividades extraescolares. La ubicación del cole es súper central. He estudiado español en muchos colegios y academias antes de venir a Tía Tula y os prometo que realmente es el mejor lugar para aprender de manera rápida y divertida. Aprendí más en unos meses aquí que en 10 años de colegio público estadounidense.

I studied Spanish at Colegio Tía Tula for three and a half months in levels B1, B2, and C1. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone that wants to improve their Spanish, have fun, and meet people from around the world. The teachers are wonderful and the administration is super friendly and helpful. The students are friendly and welcoming. Since students are from all over the world and speak different languages, the classes are taught completely in Spanish, which meant that we had an immersive experience. Every day, we had classes with two different teachers which let us hear different accents and learn the language better. Additionally, since the school has a teacher training program, we sometimes had student teacher observers in class with us in addition to our teacher. This was a great benefit for us because we were always able to practice with native speakers. The building is architecturally beautiful and centrally located. When there isn’t covid, there are lots of extracurricular activities. The school location is very central. I have studied Spanish in many different schools before coming to Tía Tula, and I promise that Tía Tula really is the best way to learn in a manner that is both fun and fast. I learned more in a few months here than in 10 years of American public school.

Salamanca is an incredible city, and Tia Tula was the perfect choice for a language immersion experience. Choosing between so many different spanish schools was overwhelming, but after my time at Tia Tula, I can happily say no regrets. The teachers were great, the classes were small and intimate (I had between 4-7 other students at any one time) allowing for more opportunities to actually practice speaking Spanish. Sono stata due volte in questa scuola e mi sono trovata molto bene! Tutti sono molto gentili e sorridenti e i professori molto capaci!! Il mio spagnolo è migliorato molto anche se sono stata qui solo per due mesi in totale. I liked so much Salamanca and Tía Tula last year when I came for the first time for one month that I have decided to come back for a longer period to improve my Spanish level quickly, because I need it for my professional future.

I am so happy to attend the courses because they are different every day, interactive and entertaining. The teachers are very good, enthusiastic and they encourage you to speak a lot. The small classes with a maximum of 10 students enable to learn easier as well.

Furthermore, as an accredited centre by the Instituto Cervantes and thanks to the recognition made by the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Tía Tula can transform course hours in European University Credits ECTS. You could then transfer them to the university or college where you study.

The friendly and welcoming atmosphere in Tía Tula is due to the administrative team, the teachers and the students who are all very nice people.

Tía Tula can offer good accommodation possibilities in shared apartments or families, very close to the school, which is the perfect location. I enjoy getting out from class and being just nearby beautiful historic monuments and student bars to taste delicious tapas. I feel Salamanca is a safe city where you can walk in the daytime or at night without any problem.

It is a dynamic, cultural and young city, where you can meet up lots of students from all over the world. Activities are organized every day by the school to enjoy the city, get to know other students and discover the Spanish culture.

I would definitely recommend Tía Tula to anyone who is looking for a high quality Study Abroad Program and an amazing city to discover!

I studied Medicine in Brazil and decided to do a Masters degree in Salamanca, Spain, but first I wanted to improve my Spanish. A friend suggested me to study at Tía Tula Spanish School. Study in Tía Tula was one of the best experiences I've had in Spain, since I met awesome people who helped me to adapt to the Spanish culture from the very beginning. Teachers are very well qualified and patient to teach. The school has a modern structure and a nice atmosphere with classes in small groups, consisting of a maximum of 10 students per class, according to the level of each student. It has an easy teaching method and modern audiovisual resources.

Besides, I did some volunteer work in different organizations. It was very encouraging helping others in need and also learning technical terms of medicine in Spanish. The school has agreements with different universities and students can earn European University Credits ECTS thanks to its courses. The University credits can be transferred to any college or university in the world.

Tía Tula is on a great location, right in the center of Salamanca, where the student life takes place. I recommend this program to all my friends who want to study abroad in Spain.
