Popular Programs

island students

This is a unique experience on a remote island in Fiji. Only a handful of volunteers are allowed on the island at one time, which makes it a really intimate experience. You will stay with a local host family and live like a local! The local school receives very minimal government funding and there are substantial needs in all areas of educational assistance.

bali kindy games

Make a real difference in the lives of children from poor villages in Bali. Teach through games, dance & songs and encourage the kids in learning though fun. The children will all be excited to see you and exceptionally welcoming, due partly to the natural and genuine friendliness of the Balinese, but also the fact that you will be one of a few foreigners they have met!

boys march

Volunteer with youths in conflict with the law, you can help coach and mentor young male adolescents who need to alter the course of their lives. Help empower the boys by sharing your talents, skills and interests. Dedicated, committed and volunteers who show empathy will best suit this project.

teaching

This project provides free English language lessons to children and adults from underprivileged communities. You may be volunteering at public schools, community centres, after school programs, shelters for street children, and other educational programs. Before your project you can take part in an introductory course for teaching English as a second language (ESL).

Bali, English teaching

Tell us as much as you can about your volunteer trip! Were there any highlights from your placement? What was the daily volunteering like? Volunteering was great, kids and staff were lovely. Felt very supported and comfortable with everyone.

Comments on local team, food and accommodation Food was wonderful, accommodation was average in terms of the ammenities however I had low standards so it was okay. The toilets were gross, especially sharing with people who had bali belly.

Pros
  • Felt very supported and comfortable with everyone
Cons
  • Perhaps more toilets? or showers

remote island school in Fiji

Volunteering on this project was undoubtedly the most challenging but rewarding experience. I loved getting to know the kids and share some of my knowledge with them. We shared many laughs, songs, and stories together.

The most memorable parts of the experience for me was immersing myself within the culture and staying with the host family. I enjoyed learning about their way of living…. it was truly an eye-opening experience.

This experience had its challenges – the food was basic, there was no shower or washing machine, it was hot, and I felt way out of my comfort zone. But by the end of it I didn’t want to leave. I have made amazing connections, have awesome memories, and can’t wait to go back next year.
