The costs include accommodation at a host family, a coordinator available 24/7, all meals and donation to the project. Excluded is the transfer to Mzuzu if needed and personal expenses.

About Program

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa but also one of the friendliest and volunteers are much needed to support this community based non profit in the city of Mzuzu.

The daily work activities of CHIDESO consist of running their own creches, offering computer lessons to adults, providing homework guidance classes, offering training such as carpentry and sewing and outreach into the surrounding community. The organization is run by local volunteers and by matching up with international volunteers there will be a great cohesion to move forward.

New programs can be implemented, existing programs improved and support given at different levels. Volunteers will live with a local family and be able to experience daily life in Malawi the best way possible; by supporting those that need it most.
