About Program
Join Cultural Homestay International's World Explorers program in Russia! Programs run from 1-3 months, and volunteers are provided with room and board in exchange for a maximum of 15 hours of English lessons per week. Volunteers must be native English speakers, open-minded and ready to embrace a new culture.
CHI's partner agency that finds the host families is located in Voronezh, but placements can be in various cities throughout Russia. This program is ideal for people learning Russian and wanting a chance to practice their language skills.

Program Impact

Location
Russia is the largest country in the world, accounting for around an eighth of the worlds inhabitable land. Russia has had a bad reputation for a while, but when you go you will notice that feels more European than you might think and has a very similar value system.
A second language is not required for this program, though it can be helpful. Most host families will be able to speak some English. We also have a partner in each country that will be available if you have trouble communicating with your host family.
