About Program
We are a conservation and community outreach volunteer programme in South Africa's Eastern Cape. Our projects focus not only on big-ticket animals like cheetah and rhino, but also on lesser-known ones (aardvark, aardwolf, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates). Our volunteers help monitor, rehabilitate, restore, research and collect data for our reserve as well as various conservation organisations, universities and Citizen Science initiatives. We also hike and explore often – we're definitely a programme for people who enjoy camping and getting their hands dirty, and who love being outdoors!
We also assist NGOs with environmental education, skills development and sustainable agriculture in local communities. And we do wildlife photography.
Our main purpose is to not only build awareness about and safeguard our wildlife and wild places, but to also build bridges between cultures so that everyone has a stake in protecting our natural wonders.
