Deep Dive into Florence during your Gap Year

About Program
Florence is a wonderful city. Famed for its astonishing art and architecture, “the cradle of the Renaissance” is a most liveable city. It has the scale of a small town with the amenity of a metropolis. It is no accident that it has been the destination of choice for generations of young people wishing to immerse themselves in the heart of European civilisation.
The British Institute of Florence is a proudly independent cultural centre, founded in Florence 105 years ago. In direct continuation of the traditions of the Grand Tour, we offer a unique experience to visitors who want to really get inside the city. In our magnificent heritage Library, with its stunning view across the river, you may follow the best Art History and Italian Language courses in town and participate in numerous other events and activities with our community of international residents and Italian friends.
This is the only choice for the independent traveller who really wants the inside track on Florence.
