You have to initially pay out of pocket for your airfare - to and from Korea - but are fully reimbursed for it. As for accommodation (i.e. rent), the program takes care of that for you directly. It's not required at all. But the initial month-long orientation did provide some basic Korean lessons, and depending on where you're placed you might be able to continue taking lessons or set up your own language exchange.
