About Program
-ChinaGreen is a three-credit, four-week summer environmental studies travel course
-Spend two weeks in Beijing, then travel to places such as the Zhangjiajie World Heritage National Park, Chengdu-home of the Wolong Panda Reserve, and a small eco-village
-Engage in active research and converse with local farmers, school children and community leaders to examine the major environmental issues that China faces
Students will acquire an understanding of how sustainable systems work and how the structure and function of these systems are altered by human activities. Through first-hand experience, students will study the major environmental issues in China: air pollution, water pollution, loss of biodiversity, and climate change.
Dates: May 27- June 28
Program Fee Includes:
-Tuition for 3 credit hours of environmental science
-Double occupancy housing
-Airport pick-up in Beijing
-Orientation in Beijing (activities, meals, speakers)
-Excursion travel and activities costs
