About Program
XJTLU’s China Studies degree program combines the accessibility of the English language with the immersive experience of living and studying in China.
Students on this three to four year program will study the events that have shaped the world’s largest nation, but will also assess the political, cultural and social motivations that drive its current development.
The two pathways:
Teaching Chinese as an International Language and Contemporary China Studies have common first and second years, while you will choose module in Years Three and Four.
China is the best place to study China and Suzhou is one of the most interesting places in China to experience it.

China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from the Gobi and Taklamakan Deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. China has over 34,687 species of animals and vascular plants, making it the third-most biodiverse country in the world, after Brazil and Colombia.
