About Program

Spend a semester at St. John's University's campus in Rome! While in Italy, students will conduct an in-depth exploration of Italian history, language, and culture using the distinctive academic resources of this remarkable city. With Rome as their classroom, students can practice Italian while chatting with locals in the markets, cafés, and churches. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the masterpieces of Bernini in the Piazza Navona and marvel at baroque architecture and frescoes of St. Peter's Basilica or St. Peter's Square while attending Sunday Mass.

While on the study abroad program, students can participate in service-learning projects, where they can make a real difference through activities like teaching English to local students, serving in soup kitchens, and mentoring school children. The program also includes excursions to Pompeii, Tuscany, and Sicily.
