TED 2020

My experience with TED taught me a ton about leadership, communication, and service project building. I plan to use these skills in my future projects, and the one I designed during the program. The country chats helped me listen to differing viewpoints about current issues, and I made friends in my neighborhood and family. I also had really good conversations with my peers and facilitator. I would recommend this for any youth interested in Middle Eastern cultures, service projects, leadership skills, and current issues.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Be prepared for reflection and a thinking challenge in the activities. Also, you and many participants will probably feel shy at the beginning of the program, but you'll warm up to one another through family dialogues and country chat conversations. Communicate regularly with your neighborhood and family. Be patient with yourself and open-minded as you design and plan a project; this takes a lot of time and often requires changes. You should also keep up with news during and before the program, as many country chat activities and regular conversations are about current issues and politics.

The experiment digital

The experiment digital was really amazing experience, that I’ve knew about different countries and cultures and communities from it , and I made new friendships from different countries, it’s also helped me to be more social and fluent in english, and learned me to start my project and help my community and improve it , and my favorite part at the program was the family dialogues , so you will know how to discover the issues in your community and the root causes for and effects on the community, and starting to find the solutions step by step !

TED 2020 !!

Through The Experiment Digital, I have made peers from Algeria, Yemen, Iraq, Kurdistan, and other parts of the United States of America. In the 2020 cohort, we bonded through games, group calls, and just weekly tasks. Over the course of 8 weeks, I’ve learned so much about leadership and the values of community. Plus, I plan to take all the skills I’ve gained them and apply them to projects I’m already a part of and those that I choose to create. And on top of all this, it’s fully funded aka free!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Communicate! The more you communicate, the more you get from the program.

My Experience with TED

The best digital exchange program I've ever seen. It maches cultural discovery and getting new skills and knowledge in being a leader, digital citizen and communitizer. If you're a high school student looking for meeting new people from Algeria, Iraq, Yemen and USA to discuss about social issues in our world today. In this program, you'll be able to know more about the problems facing people in other communities and yours as well. You will also try to brainstorm new ideas to solve this issues and to improve the quality of life in your country and abroad as well.

What would you improve about this program?
I would like to improve the icebreaking activities between the peers, because I think that enough close to each other.
