About Program

Enrol on an internationally-recognised TEFL course with The TEFL Org and earn a highly accredited certificate.

Our TEFL courses combine 20-30 hours of classroom training and up to 120 hours of online learning to create a fantastic combination of knowledge and employability. You will find that most schools and employers look for teaching applicants with a 120-hour TEFL Certificate - so any more hours will put you at an advantage.

For the classroom segment, you will spend two days (Saturday and Sunday) or three days (Monday to Wednesday) training in one of our thirty locations across the UK, Ireland or Spain. Our classroom courses run frequently throughout the year.

For the online segment of the course, you have up to seven months to finish. This ensures people have enough time to complete, even if they're busy with other things.

Very Good Course

Excellent overall course. Both days were very engaging and the course instructor gave an excellent introduction to the TEFL curriculum and what's needed in order to teach English to adult and child learners. The day was structured well and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage with the instructor and the other people attending the course. All aspects of TEFL were covered including practical tips on how to secure employment overseas. Location was also excellent and tea/coffee were provided both days.

What would you improve about this program?
Another teaching practice lesson would have been good if time was to allow.

Weekend Tefl course

Simon was very engaging in his teaching for the duration of the course from the onset. I loved his sessions in teaching Italian. This was inspiring and tackled the barrier of communicating with Italian alone as an an example. He gave clear examples of teaching styles & grammar and kept our group intent on learning all aspects of classroom management. I really enjoyed this intensive two days and would have been happy to have more classroom time as I find the classroom environment really enjoyable. The games were particularly useful. Thank you Simon.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Presenting to the group as if teaching. However, Simon put us into groups to work with each other. This helped build confidence then when it came to presenting alone I felt supported by the group and found watching the others gave me further ideas of presenting to students.

Well worth the time

I undertook the 20 hour classroom course as part of my overall certificate. I was concerned that it would be a waste of time and that the day was extremely long (20 hours over 2 days) but the course turned out to extremely worthwhile and was a great asset to my studies.

I also found that the course helped my understanding of the 100 online hours completed. After attending the course, I found it much easier to complete the online portion as our tutor, Kirsty explained so many different areas very well.

Weekend TEFL Classroom Course

The course is the perfect way to bring the online course to life, to help with the understanding of different styles of teaching, and most importantly gives you the opportunity to try out these teaching skills for yourself. The foreign lesson segment was a fascinating personal insight into how the TEFL system works. Well worth doing and in fact a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

weekend course

Simon was very helpful and extremely supportive. I think most of us had felt a bit disheartened when we realised how little we knew about the our language, but Simon did a great job of teaching us on how to understand. I highly recommend the course and Simon, and I feel like I have learnt a lot. I have started doing TEFL Level 5 course and feel far more confident after this weekends class, I'm hoping to teach abroad very soon and believe after I complete this course I'll have the knowledge and the confidence to do so.

What would you improve about this program?
Being a bit cheaper, I wouldn't have been able to afford if it wasn't for the sale.

Weekend Course

I have just completed the weekend TEFL course in Brighton and found it to be an exceptional teaching and interactive experience. The teacher, Simon, has a very positive approach to teaching: lively, witty, knowledgeable and approachable. A demonstration of how to be a good teacher by being a good teacher. I have taken a lot away from this course: a new way of thinking in terms of how to incorporate activities and encourage participation to make language learning great fun. There was a mix of abilities in the group but consideration was given to everyone.

TEFL - Brighton Jan 2020

Had a very interesting enjoyable course. Our course tutor Simon was very informative and made the course enjoyable and interesting. If we had any issues understanding anything, Simon was always willing to help us understand. An awful lot to take in over 2 days, just hope I can remember it all! I also feel that the group I was with were as keen as I was. I felt this helped with the pace of the course. Also met some lovely fellow students on the course.
If anyone is considering doing this course, I would definitely recommend it.

Very good, interactive and enjoyable class!

Teacher was great, with lot of passion and enthusiasm for the course. She encouraged us to step outside of our comfort zone and challenged us with interactive games and excesses throughout. I particularly enjoyed how we got to learn a couple of extra languages on this course through some class practices, which I thought were very usefully used to demonstrate what our students would be feeling like in class.

Venue where the course was held was of a very good size. Free parking available by TEFL even if the hotel is out of spaces and the break refreshments never ran out.

Overall, it was a very encouraging and enjoyable course to take!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Standing up for the first time in front of the others to run a practice class.

Luckily, my class was quite small and everyone was very friendly. I overcame the fear through the encouragement of the teacher. She reminded us on multiple occasions that the only way to get beet is to practice.
