About Program
Volunteers and interns make a difference when they help women rise above gender based violence, economic abuse and poverty, and a lack of education and marketable skills. Women of Belize face a variety of educational and vocational challenges. Cornerstone Foundation provides resources and serves as a refuge for women seeking a safe environment to learn new skills, fellowship, and receive support.
Cornerstone Foundation is a small grassroots community development organization in the multi-cultural Central American country of Belize. We provide accommodations (dorm style), a hot home cooked Belizean midday meal on work days, orientation, staff direction, professional networking, and office space (including equipment and supplies) for $585 U.S. per month (three month term is recommended). Volunteers must have travel health insurance.
