About Program
Hoffnung Academy is a non-profit institution based in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Our school focus is on the poor, less privileged, and orphans in our communities, nearby towns, and villages. The parents and guardians of those who we seek to help cannot afford to send their kids to school and some are being used as child labor on farms etc.
We live like a family in the school where every student matters to us therefore each year we do receive volunteers from Europe and the USA to volunteer with us.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. Program Highlights
- We are located about 45 minutes from the capital city Accra
- Our school is just opposite a historical and tourism site and has a mountain view called Krobo Mountain
- We are about the 10 mins drive from the Lake Volta which is the largest man-made lake in the world
- We are close everything like restaurants, hotels and so accessible to everything
- We provide some accommodation if planned well ahead.
