About Program
As a rule EHN does not support children's homes/orphanages due to the simple reason many of them are just a way of making money for the owners. The Syangja is a little different because its situated in rural Nepal near one of our schools and miles from the tourist areas. And it has a women only board of directors from the local area whose wish is only female volunteers for this project.
The home itself is home to 7 children at the moment but when finished there will be anything from 15-20 children living there. So ideally they will need around 2 volunteers a month whose job it will be to work with the children getting them ready for the school in the morning. Then escorting them to and from school where they will help with the evening meals, homework, playing games and generally having fun. Please note on this project its possible to teach at the school as well if you are confident enough.
