About Program
Community Health Post volunteer program is for medical and nursing students. Volunteers are placed in health posts and sub health posts in rural and urban setting areas of Nepal. Volunteers work along with doctors and nurses assisting depend on their lever of expertise then. In the village health post, the most common treatment of ailments includes all kinds of minor diseases and problems. As they are a community-level health posts, villagers visit the centers for basic treatments of several types of diseases and problems. Volunteers have to assist the doctor and nurses to diagnose those ailments and provide treatment as per required.

Program Impact
Volunteers will be met at the airport by a Future Nepal representative holding a placard with volunteer’s name and Future Nepal on it.
Upon Volunteers arrival in Kathmandu we offer 3 days to 1 week of orientation and training at Future Nepal office, depending on the type of programs. These training help volunteers to understand our organization, various programs and opportunities, country, Nepali language and culture, safety measures, visa issues, dos and don’ts, etc. During the orientation and training period in Kathmandu, we organize the sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley 3 hours every day.
